Wow! Some great words there!Kirk Bevins wrote:I just had equallers - ESPARTO and PROTEAS in round 1 and LACERTID in round 12. DC did well today.
Doh should've got that one! Learnt that molecule in 6th form biology and GALACTUS is one of my favourite Marvel characters! (Although I'm more than happy with GELCOATS) Well done on TARPAULIN Joseph. I didn't catch that round but would like to think I would have got it as its another of my favourite words!Jon Corby wrote:There was GALACTOSE in the GELCOATS round. Apparently
I think DC mentioned ARCHIVE. I also did 483 your wayRoss Allatt wrote:ARCHIVE was a DC equaller in round 13 (?) when they offered up CHIMERA
My way of getting to 483 earlier was (75*5) + (10*10) + 8
Thanks - but I must admit I missed TARPAULIN. My housemate got it though - I was quite annoyed!Julie T wrote:Wow! Some great words there!Kirk Bevins wrote:I just had equallers - ESPARTO and PROTEAS in round 1 and LACERTID in round 12. DC did well today.![]()
I thought the contestant standard was pretty good, too.
Me too. I remember it being used as a conundrum and I had made a special effort to learn it as PURITAN(al) to no avail. Missed GLACATOSE too which left me slightly less gutted.Kirk Bevins wrote:Thanks - but I must admit I missed TARPAULIN. My housemate got it though - I was quite annoyed!Julie T wrote:Wow! With the fear of being called a pedant, I think you meant GALACTOSE - I don't want you misremembering it and losing out in CoC!David O'Donnell wrote: Me too.
