May we go into the 5th month of 2011, knowing that we are just a month and a day away from knowing who will be the champion of Series 64 (or 9 days away, if you happen to be one of those people competing or attending in the studios)
But anyway, there are just 18 preliminaries to go, and Roger Edwards might hope to be one of those hoping to enter the finals, he has 2 wins, and just 4 more will do to guarantee his spot. Will he edge a step closer today
Back in DC for his 12th (yes count them, 12, I did

) stint is newsreader and TV presenter, Alastair Stewart.
Ryan will be around with the Bank Holiday recap later.
Whereas I'll be making a nice trip to Plymouth to congratulate Peter Reid if his team stop Southampton from winning this afternoon.

Of course Roger has had 13 days since recording last week's shows to get some practice in
and take lots of long walks to help clear his brain of any nerves. Don't forget he also has
the pressure of knowing that if he is still champ by Thursday he will have to play his best mate.

I think this might be a case of cautious optimism (maybe, I hope, but I wouldn't count on it).

Having learnt from Joseph's sig I got BANISTER in round 3 and DC offered URINATES
(which was edited out) before coming up with the RETAINS+B+U stonker.
BTW Puriton is a village near Bridgwater in Somerset.

Quite a few of the DC bits were edited today eg TOWNEE in R13.
Congrats to anyone who got 972 in the 30 seconds, and quite well done if you
solved it afterwards (the computer says 85% difficulty level).

Watching it on +1, and I am surprised at the contestants missing PRINTOUT in R1 and the obvious 8s in R3.

I think your screen must be
considerably wider than
mine is.

By obvious 8s, I mean URINATES, BANISTER and URBANISE.

I was more surprised that DC didn't check on UNATONED in round 9, when ATONED was mentioned.

Yeah, thought that too. (I wasn't at R9 when I typed that)
