It's fairly common, a lot more common than the obscure chemical terms we come up with on this forum. In fact Stewart Holden got it against me in an online game yonks ago.

Well, I suppose the more unusual the better, because then I could add it to my increasing vocab (like with EXORDIA and FEIJOA(DA)). It's a Scrabble word too also, so I could even use it as an 8-letter bingo play .

Here are my thoughts on the game:

Des, what the heck is a bunny lot? You're a great guy, but I don't understand that!

Jonny, why would you go to Newcastle University and live in Leeds? If I were you, I wouldn't do that because I have always loved my family.

In round 4, for a word, I would have had the name of a very popular Teletubby! Des would have snorted his buns off if he would have heard that!

In round 8, for a word, I had mantra too! A very wordy word. I wonder who here has a stuffed cow.

What an appropriate Countdown conundrum! Alex is "currently" the champion, and I am very happy about that!

In Britain, there are relatively few universities and very few people go to university in their home town. This is rather different to the US.
