So, we've reached the point of revelation...., will Edward become an octochamp, or even possibly a record-breaking octochamp....
Obviously, the points total record is not what I'm on about, as Edward would need a score of 162 to do that, but he has the chance of the highest max percentage octochamp record.
Currently held by Series 57 champ, Craig Beevers who got a max% of 92.08 (907/985 points) during his run, Edward's is currently 91.28% (785/860 points), so a very high max percentage, could swing it for him.
Although, even doing that might not guarantee him top spot on the leaderboard, as he needs 119 to dislodge Adam off the #1 spot, and based on this week's games so far, it sounds like a tall order....
Still, all the trials and tribulations will shortly unravel, and Mike will pick up all the pieces later.

The quarters are shaping up nicely with Ed and Adam.
Good to see Martin Lewis as guest again, don't suppose he would have been invited, back in old Carol's days.

Phenomonal run Edward, you missed hardly anything all week. I hope you've got the record, you deserve it. 896 is a great score with only 3(?) nines available. Amazing.

No, CAVIARES was missed in round 3. But he maxed everything else.
So, if he said CARPETS or another 7, then it would be a tie with Adam, but presumably Adam would be top as he got 7 conundrums to Edward's 6.
Very well done, Edward. Awesome performances. Unlucky to be just number 2 seed, but I'm sure a certain Londoner will be happy with that.
Incidentally, Edward's final max% was 91.52%, which is actually lower than Jack's run.
