I notice that you can add an 'S' to them to make new words.

(i.e. not just pluralising cos that would be kinda lame)

Yep. Any other words for the list anyone? There's also DIS, PIS, KIS, and MIS, all of which are probably valid in scrabble.

Presumably we can stick an S on the end of verbs though. So EAT -> EATS. :mrgreen:

Couple of other interesting cases:

Lots of feminised ones like ADVENTURES and MILLIONAIRES.
-NESS words like DEADLINES, COSINES, GAMINES.
A nice pair: HANDLES and FOOTLES.
CANVAS (CANVASS is a homophone but not a synonym).
KUMIS (KUMISS is an alternative spelling of the same word).
DISCUS.

Thanks for the contributions, there'll probably be a few more two letter words which S can be hooked onto.
