I just thought we would have a little fun right now, so we should let it begin.

All in fun, there have been singers and musicians who have recorded TV theme songs with jazz influence. Here are some examples.

This is a tune you will all recognize for sure.

And this is another quite popular tune. It is best known as a song that both Bruce Forsyth and Drew Carey have heard many times, and they love it!

I hope you enjoyed them!

I can't immediately think of a TV theme which has been jazzed up in that way.
But The Film programme (presented first by Barry Norman and now by Jonathan Ross) has had the same jazz
theme from the beginning.
It is not jazzed up because it is already a jazz kind of tune.
I think they call it "I Wish I Knew"

I've only heard the themes from "The Price is Right" and "US Jeopardy!" being played on the saxophone and the theme from "Neighbours" being composed with scat, but if I come across any more I will be sure to post them here.
