Any recaps from older series should be posted here. This forum is unlikely to contain spoilers, but recaps may contain "forward references" if they are written much later, so approach with caution.

Tuesday 8 October 1996 (COC8 Final)

Post by Johnny Canuck »

Not sure if all the details of this recap are on CDB yet. I know the round results on the Countdown Page are, but they don't have numbers solutions. If this recap doesn't belong, I can take it down; I'll start on COC8 after I finish my bookings in Series 28.

This was the final of Championship of Champions VIII, and also the only episode I know of in which the number 100 appeared as the target.

Countdown recap for Tuesday 8 October 1996.

C1: Champion Kenneth Michie (9 wins, 605 points.)
C2: Champion Chris Rogers (10 wins, 718 points.)
DC: Susie Dent and Nigel Rees.
CV: Carol Vorderman.
OT: Other words or solutions.

I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.
