Des O'Connor, you're the one,
You make Countdown so much fun,
Des O'Connor, I'm awfully fond of you;
Woo woo be doo
Des O'Connor, friend for life,
You help people elude their strife!
Des O'Connor, you're a great guy, it's true!
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo
Every day when we
Make our ways to the telly
We find a clever fella who's
Suave and happy from Stepney
He's so very peppy!
Des O'Connor, you're the one
You make Countdown so much fun
Des O'Connor, I'm awfully fond of -
Des O'Connor, I wish for a bond of -
Des O'Connor, I'm awfully fond of you!
Doo doo, be doo

I love it!
Is it his theme song? Is it this months offering to the countdown crew?
What tune should it be sung to?

I`m now trying to think of a suitable tune that might fit those words.

Remember, the value of Des O'Connor Bonds may go down as well as up.

My Des O'Connor song is a parody of this:

Of course, you all know the song because I'm sure you've seen Sesame Street in the UK. Jodie Brooks-Wilson sees it in her home country as well.
I can just imagine Jodie singing my song to him!

Jason, I can't get this annoyingly catchy Rubber Ducky tune out of my head. Please make it stop.

Jodie Brooks-Wilson is Des O'Connor's current wife. She is a singer and she is originally from Australia.
Dinos, I'm not sure if you've ever seen, "Take Your Pick," but Jodie was his hostess on that show.
Richard, having that song set to the right tune was easy because "Des O'Connor" and "Rubber Ducky" both have four syllables.

I can't make up anything to the tune of the Count's theme song!
