... and, your signature takes up so much space, it's a bit annoying when one is attempting to read threads that you participate in.

I also find it annoying when Dmitry participates in threads.

I have signatures turned off.

Oh what a star you are!! I didn't know you could turn off other people's signatures. I even managed to work out how to do it without asking anyone!

That's much less irritating. Now, how do I block those posts completely so that I don't even have to see them?

Go to User Control Panel --> Friends and Foes --> Manage Foes and add name of foe. Messages blocked!

I've never foed or killfiled anyone in my life but Dmitry made me break, mainly because he's just boring and spammy but also prolific. Too bad it doesn't kill his threads as well.

I wonder how many people's feelings would be hurt by statistics on the most-Foed users.

Also, has anyone worked out whether Friends actually does anything?

I haven't got anyone foed. I did once, but then I found I always just wanted to see their messages *just in case* so it was a bit pointless really.

As for Friends, when you're on your Control Panel, it lists them down the side. If you then compose a new PM, they get a little 'add' button next to them, meaning that you can PM your friends with slightly fewer keystrokes/mouseclicks than everyone else! Er... there must be more to it than that, but dunno.

The converse - the most-friended user - would be a bit pointless now anyway since Like is a far more public declaration of, er, liking something (specialist subject: stating the bleedin' obvious). Notice you've overtaken Matt again Charlie... Looking forward to this ;)

Also, other people would still reply to their posts, so surely it would just make threads confusing. Also, Charlie, I think a league table is needed.

In that case ...

Is there a law similar to Godwin's Law that recognises that those who feel it necessary to claim victory on a thread must have already lost?
