Inserting Keys

So we established in my previous thread that pretty much nobody uses the insert key. So to follow on from some suggestions in that thread, here's a new thread where we all want (yes, want) to hear your suggestions for keys to remove, and, more importantly, what you'd replace them with.

Do take into account where the key you're replacing is. For instance, if you like chatting up hot laydeez on MSN a lot you might think it's worth losing your Z so you can easily type a/s/l in one press, but not a key that's harder to hit.

Ultimately we want to produce the Ultimate Keyboard, no useless shit like scroll lock, instead awesome things like a button that emails Charlie to tell him that apterous is down/rubbish/gay.

How about a button that automatically Likes all of Matt Morrison's posts? It would save a lot of you a lot of time, you sycophantic fucks.

How has Meakin not suggested an ANY key yet?

I'll have a think though - good question, but, almost unexpectedly, nothing is really springing to mind.

Seriously, all this Meakin bashing is in really bad taste and, frankly, I expected better from you.

You could have a custom DOD keyboard, which replaces Print Screen, Scroll Lock and Pause|Break with "high horse reply", "talk shit that nobody understands about philosophy reply" and "shitfaced reply", and you'd never need to go to the trouble of typing again.

I use Ctrl+C for copy, then Ctrl+V for paste. LOL

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

MacBooks do that. They seem to have some kind of light sensor which enables the glowing keys when you're in a dark environment.

A joystick-style mouse in the keyboard like they do on laptops. I can never find my mouse. Since they've had the decency to put a right-click key in (and the left-click's easy) there ought to be something convenient to navigate. More so than the tab, anyway.

I've only just realised that you have to highlight the white-text-on-white-background in order to be able to appreciate half of it:

capslock activitees
* capslock lights
* capslock tree
* capslock shotgun in capslock gloved capslock hand shooting capslock haters all night long mutherfuckers
* pusha da capslock over and over and over and over!!!!!!!!!!!

The pictures of Black Santa and a potato are also excellent and highly relevant.
