I was exepecting a vowel to picked at the end, because if it was an 'A' or 'E' at least, there would've been a plethora of 8's, so was a bit surprised when a consonant was picked, but I saw INNERMOST after about 15 seconds.

I got it principally because I think Martin Gardner mentions it being a conundrum on his experience page on Mike Brown's website. I had to do a double-think with TREADLING though because I saw TRIANGLED and then knew that it wasn't valid but there was a valid anagram. I missed QUANTAL today but hadn't heard of it (had LANDAU) and I also missed NOSEBAND which was a crime since when I see a NOSE in the selection I automatically scan for compound words and still bloody missed it!

I believe the conundrum was SENTMINOR?
I remember I used a picture that showed the conundrum SENTMINOR, in a picture quiz at my previous employment, to see if anyone could get the answer, but they didn't

I was questioning CHAMPAGNE to whether it was capitalised or not. I know it's a region of France and all the fuss that states it can only be made within that area to retain the name. Anyone clarify ?
