Spoilers For Friday June 25th 2010

Post by James Robinson »

So, we've reached the end of the first week of Countdown - Series 63.

One thing I just realised is that the score of yesterday's game just needed one digit altering to make it exactly the same scoreline as a certain 5th set that took place at Wimbledon this week. Very strange. :o :?

But anyway, enough weird statistics for now. The main point is that Chris Longden is now the 2nd champion of the series, but for how long :?:

Mike will be around later with the recap. ;) :) :D

I never thought I would read these words off a James Robinson post.

Anyone else in agreement that the guy in the champions chair came across as a completely unbearable prick?

Ditto.

This probably makes me sound like a pedantic cuntface, but when Susie claimed that anions were negatively charged electrons I was massively outraged.

Decent game today, and yesterday as well. For what it's worth I didn't think Chris was annoying in the slightest.

Also ditto Jack about electrons. Grr.

I agree with innis. He wasn't annoying at all, just an ordinary bloke.

RITENUTI in Round 1, HAYRIDES in Round 3, MODULI in Round 11.

2nd Numbers Alt.: (((10 / 2) - 2) x 75) - (9 - 5) = 221

3rd Numbers Alt.: ((50 + 4) x (8 - 3)) + 8 - 1 = 277

I don't think Chris was annoying, although every time he was in thought and his head was down, his hair made it look like his brain was coming out of the top of his head :!:  :?

I don't understand the Chris hate. :? I also didn't notice the electron thing. I'm probably just too laid back for this.

I didn't find Chris too annoying to watch, but I can understand why some people did, if that makes sense.

I didn't find him annoying and thought he was humble in defeat today and when he was behind for long spells yesterday.

I did think his complicated way of doing the 1st numbers was a bit cockish though and I was really hoping he'd bugger it up; fair enough doing something impressive like going upto 3234 and coming back down again but what he did just seemed unnecessary.

After getting a solution before the clock started, he wanted some way to pass the time :D

Just seen it.
Well Done Annie.
She's a good scrabble player too, representing England in the World Youth championships a few years ago.

Just had to say 25*10=250. 10 points. Move on. But there was no need for what he did. Even in Rachel's mind she thought "prick". You can see it in her eyes, watch it back!
