Spoilers For Monday June 21st 2010
WAHEY! Summer has arrived , if not in terms of weather, although it's not too bad at the moment, and following Oliver's brilliant triumph on Friday, it's now time to find his replacement.
As Series 63 of Countdown is about to begin.
Our carryover champion is our very own Scott Gillies, who could be crowned as an octochamp on Wednesday, after impressing with his 5 wins at the end of the last series. Can he become the first octochamp of this series by the end of the week
To start the new series, we have a new guest in Dictionary Corner this week, Aled Jones, a man known for singing Walking In The Air every Christmas, as well as his DJing and presenting on Radio 2, and for showing better dancing skills than Carol Vorderman in Series 2 of Strictly Come Dancing.
Ryan will be around for the first recap later on, I think....

But not in The Snowman, of course. Aled's was a cover of the version recorded by Peter Auty and used in the film.James Robinson wrote:...we have a new guest in Dictionary Corner this week, Aled Jones, a man known for singing Walking In The Air every Christmas...

Re: Spoilers For Monday June 21st 2010
Today's challenger, Kevin Quinn, was a daily champion (and series finalist) on the first series of "A Question Of Genius". So a man of no mean quiz pedigree, if perhaps in a slightly different area. His specialist subject on "...Genius" was the life and career of Geoffrey Boycott, and he won £2000 by remembering Boycott's score in his final test innings.
