Phew, it's been a while since more than 1 conundrum has been needed to sort the winner of a match.

But, I'm sure our Aptochamp Peter won't give a damn how he wins his matches, although he does like to win them on conundrums at the moment. Can we get to 3 wins and break into the top 10 :?:

The word 'goldmine' is included in Chambers' pocket Dictionary (2004) !

Was I being too simplistic? ((10 + 2) x75) + ((10-4) x 7 )

ALARMED in the last letters round.

Glad to hear my confusion over GRAILS cleared up. Used to be disallowed as it was capitalised.

As for Rachel's method, it's her favourite once again, the split multiplication. She used the 2 and 7 to make 14x75 = 1050 and noticing you need to take away 108 with 10,10 and 2 is pretty straightforward for a wizard, like Rachel, at that method.
