Cambridge Charity Countdown Challenge

Post by Martin Gardner »

Check out the CCCC on the Countdownwiki. For those that don't know, the CCCC was a charity match organised by Chris Cummins and Julian Fell, over two legs, as both were at the time students at Cambridge University.

If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?

As Soo pointed out on my countdownwiki page, Julian only missed two maxes - HOISTS when he offered an invalid 7, which obviously would have been the max had it been valid, and VIBRIO which was the only six in that round. Other than that, the other 20 letters games, he was perfect.
