Spoilers For Friday February 26th 2010

by James Robinson
The week is approaching it's climax: The Huddersfield Town vs. Leeds United match at the Galpharm Stadium at 12:30pm tomorrow, but before that, there's a little matter of a Countdown game to see first.

Burnley's #5 Clarke Carlisle has reached Show #3. A very convincing century yesterday has seen him push up the leaderboard, but can he continue in this rich vein of form :?:

I think Lisa Faulkner, no sorry, Jenni Falconer has been a nice addition to DC this week. Having said that, would we want the former to be invited as a DC guest in the near future :?:

Well, will Clarke reach 3 or will he suffer a 3-fall :?:

All will be revealed soon...

Let me put it this way....

THERE'S NO CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING!!

They'll be lucky to score 7 more goals this season, with their current form.

P.S. Are you a Leeds fan by any chance, Ian :?:

I'm very impressed with Clarke's words and numbers solutions so far today - superb. He might not be kicking himself as much about CARRIONS^ now (he declared second so could have stuck with CARRION) as he has quite a margin.

No Y, Ben. Was surprised he didn't go for a final vowel for A, E or U for a 9 - would really have been a massive total.

That CARRIONS^ decision in round 1 cost Clarke the game - ouch. Good game.

I wanted to see Clarke go further, he added a nice sheen to the show, but good game, even though I missed the first and second parts.

Bitterly disappointed that Clarke didn't win and continue into next week. He was better than I was expecting (I presumed his appearance was just overhyped but he really was a good player).

PETIOLAR in round 7 and FORSAKE in round 11. Surprised that UNATTEND isn't allowed in round 12 :!:

3 Alternatives To 2nd Numbers:

((75 - 5) x 6) - (10 / 2) = 415
(75 x 6) - (100 / 2) + 10 + 5 = 415
((100 + 75) x 2) + (6 x 10) + 5 = 415

1 Alternative To 3rd Numbers:

(100 / 4) x (10 + 8 + 7) = 625

Very disappointed that Clarke lost. I so thought he would be an almost certainty for octochampdom. Oh well, that's 3 so far this series, who easily could've, but haven't.

So, winning only 2 league games in 2010, is better that Huddersfield being 10 games unbeaten, while winning their last 3 league games in a row :!:

You can forget your early form, your team is about as rubbish as the stadium they play in. I've been in it a couple of times and it is RUBBISH.

And until you can actually score in our stadium, your chances of winning are NIL.

ZOMG Jeff spoiled today's show for me. I hadn't seen it and was watching Soccer Saturday, and he made reference to Clarke's 'awful time' or something, of his shocking display against the Skates on top of losing on Countdown. I was thinking I must have misheard though when he was over twenty points ahead and cruising at the first break (despite the unnecessary risk in round one).

Sad to see him go, very nice guy, good player and exceptionally gracious in defeat.

I believe the Sky Sports switchboard was jammed all day with angry Countdown fans waiting to watch Friday's show on On Demand. It was definitely on a par with Ron Atkinson's comments a few years back.
