Jason, it is fine to be envious of someone as long as you don't resent them. I am envious that Dinos was lucky enough to meet the love of his life at 15 whereas I didn't meet mine until I was 31. But I don't resent him for that - I'm very happy for him. The world would be a happier place if we all were as lucky as Dinos and Emma.

I didn't think so before, but now I think Charlie was right about what he said.

You're lucky I feel comfortable telling you all that I'm on the autistic spectrum. I don't tell that to just anybody.

Had Dinos not gotten engaged, I would not have hesitated to open up to him.

I really should learn to read every thread, no matter how boring they seem, because you never know when something like this is going to appear out of (apparently) nowhere.

Jason, being in a relationship isn't a bed of roses.
Even if the other person is madly in love with you, no-one, apart from yourself, is completely on your side. That means that you often have to put the other person's feelings first and compromise, even if you feel very strongly about something. This means that you need a lot of social skills and empathy to make a relationship work.

It's natural to feel a little envious of others who you think are having a better life than you. However, you really shouldn't try to make them feel bad for being happy. How do you think Dinos feels about your attitude, when he seems to value your friendship so much?

Your previous posts show you to be a very caring, thoughtful young man. I hope you get over this soon.
