Spoilers For Wednesday December 9th 2009

Well, we have reached the end of the preliminaries of Series 61, well by the end of the day we will have anyway.

Jan is still the champ. Interestingly, she seems to be doing a Jackie Baker, by having 4 wins at the end of the series and having to carry on in the next series. Well, we'll know if that happens if she wins today.

After today of course, we'll have the series finals. I think it's still too close to call in terms of who will win the series, but that just adds to the excitement of it all, doesn't it? ;) :) :D

Also should she get far enough, Oli Garner is set to be her second opponent of series 62, so like Jacqui, Jan's run could well be terminated at 5 wins and we'd have to wait ages to see if she makes the finals.
Spooky.

Sorry to take this thread off on a tangent but who would you rather: Jackie or Jan?

Inspiring stuff. The Daily Mail beckons.

When Charlie writes equally inspiring stuff, does the Daily Mail Beckham?

I haven't given it too much thought to be honest, Douglas. Even now, I'm still undecided.

That is an inappropriate comment for this forum, especially considering that one or both of these women could read it.

Yeah good point, I would have to say both at the same time, so as not to offend either.

As opposed to numerous comments about members of production team/hosting team? :P

James Robinson - a guy with his finger on the pulse. It just "adds to the excitement of it all". I had to put my paintbrush down to find out what was going to happen next

How is it inappropriate to ask who you would rather play a game of Countdown with on a Countdown forum?

Good to see Innis in the audience...might have been others but I just noticed him in the brief few seconds.

Of course, he got about 12 that I didn't.

There was mention earlier in the week about a round being aborted because one of the production team noticed an upside down M appearing as a W. So this is what round 11 today might have looked like:

T N X U E I D W (or M) A

You can see my lovely lovely girlfriend Robyn behind the guy answering the conundrum when the camera is close up. :D

Because this thread is to talk about spoilers in today's show, not who you'd rather play at Countdown.

Those of us who attended just for the afternoon session took our seats and saw the name Andrew Pollock in the challenger's chair, so when we then saw 2 women take the stage we were a little bemused
