Something bad seems to have happened to the power supply at Apterous Towers. I'm working on it.

Aaaand we're back. "Someone" had unplugged the server from the router...

Have you tried working beside it? That usually makes it easier to reach.

Looks like the butler's unplugged the server again so that the staff can get on with cleaning Apterous Towers.

Charlie's been informed.

It might be up and down a lot in the next few hours while I try to figure out what the hell. It seems like some kind of hardware failure.

So it seems the server has suffered a fairly serious failure, and will no longer switch on. It may have to be completely replaced, which would be fairly expensive Christmas present :( No data will be lost though, the disks are fine.
