Spoilers For Friday October 9th 2009
Well it's the end of another week of Countdown.
Steve Wood is now a 3-times champion (I won't bother with the trichamp or any alternative, since clearly they're pretty rubbish!). A win today would definitely give him a spot in the top 8 for the moment, although if he's to be in the finals, he'll need to be an octochamp next Thursday. That obviously won't guarantee it, but it would make his chances much greater than they are now.
Well, Steve seems good so far. Just missing out on a century by not getting the conundrum yesterday. He's definitely not as thick as a plank

I actually did have one, but it's a bit late now. So, no point bothering really.Derek Hazell wrote:James,

I don't think so. I missed it too and got it after the time. It looks so simple but you can try lots of methods and get one away. I spoke to her afterwards telling her it was deceptively difficult which cheered her up cus she thought people would slate her for missing it.Mark Harrison wrote:Shocking miss from RR on the numbers:

Yeah, fair enough - I can see how it would be tricky. However, I had managed to do it 3 ways in the 30 seconds, and she's normally better than me, so it surprised me that she missed it. And she was obviously embarrassed after the interval!Kirk Bevins wrote:I don't think so. I missed it too and got it after the time. Haha. I didn't reassure you that people wouldn't slate you though as that was a shocking miss and you should be ashamed of yourself. Just wait till all those complaints you'll get.D Eadie wrote:

I lolled when Susie, in response to the declaration of INLINE said "as opposed to online".
