Rachel's trying to disappear into the set again! Do they not employ anyone that thinks about colours?

Since we're on a roll, I might as well offer

You could also do (75-4-((7x8)/4))x8, and (75-4-(7x(8/4)))x8, and 8x(75-4-((8x7)/4)). I got all of these within the 30 seconds.

Pot, Kettle & Black spring to mind here.

Perhaps you meant (75+(8x4)+7)x4.

OK - a sensible suggestion, CATENANE for a DC beater in round 6. If the challenger could do numbers, Hamish would be no more.

To be fair I think Hamish would still continue to exist, just perhaps not in the geographical position of the champion's chair.

Apologies to all for the delay, but I have finally got around to posting the recap (although it's not really impressive

).

Apart from I've just noticed the only two rounds I didn't max were numbers rounds. Grrr....had they been easier it would have been one of those magic moments that crop up rarely - a perfect game.

Hahaha, that's great. Well spotted. The psychological effect of playing against Hamish!

If the second and third matches, if either Heather or John had added that final letter, Hamish would have lost by just a single point. Close stuff.
Does Hamish have the greatest discrepancy between highest and lowest scores ever?
