I've just an email from Holly Mellors at 12 Yard inviting me to apply. I wasn't tempted before as the standard of contestants on the first series was pretty high; but being approached by them, rather than the other way round, has probably stroked my ego sufficiently for me to give it a whirl.

Go for it! You'd get my vote :)

Thanks Debbi! If only success on the show was down to viewer voting, rather than phenomenally good general knowledge, I might stand a chance. Actually, after a nanosecond's thought - no I wouldn't. :(

Good to see the return of this, hopefully the great Pat Gibson will be allowed to have another go.

Pat Gibson? Yes indeed - and he's also won Mastermind and the radio show Brain of Britain, which is a unique treble. Quite an Egghead...
