A walk down memory lane

Post by Charlie Reams »

Highlights from the old group. Although actually they don't seem as funny as I remember.
Sjewart Holden wrote: Hello there folks. I'm a new member to this group. Coincidentally my
real name is Stewart Holden like the Countdown champion and group
moderator so I've decided to call myself sjewartholden to avoid
confusion and because I am a follower of Judaism.

I'm 13 years old and come from Bournemouth and am hoping to become
one of the youngest ever champions of Countdown. I'm not sure what
the record currently stands at. Perhaps you can help. I regularly
beat the contestants at home and will probably be applying fairly
shortly. I hope to do an even better job than the Stewart Holden that
has already been on. In our head to heads, I generally came out on
top. He let himself down a bit on the numbers (although I don't think
he needs reminding) and that gave me an edge, but I was also a little
bit better on the letters too. I know it's different in the pressure
of the studio, but in competitions in general, I thrive under
pressure and perform even better, and I think I have a good chance to
beat Julian Fell's 924 over eight games.
A bit later (and after Stuart Earl accuses me of being racist):

I'm the guilty one.

I have to say I'm surprised by the prejudice that I've been on the
receiving end of at the 'gogue. It's not all said to me directly, but
I hear most of it from other people. I've been referred to as "New
Jew" which is apparently some sort of insult. Once I actually got
involved in a heated debate with someone, and in my anger ended up
denying the Holocaust. I apologised afterwards of course but pointed
out that I was just using the same level of logic as he was, and that
it was to enhance his debating skills.

I've been known to deny the Holocaust in the odd heated moment, especially when there's no toilet roll or I misplace my keys.

Nobody would tell me who Zef is, and from the sound of him I think I should be glad I don't know!

Am I right in thinking this was not the real Holden but just a shit joke?
If you cut a gandiseeg in half, do you get two gandiseegs or two halves of a gandiseeg?
