GOTW 15-21 Feb

Firstly, as mentioned by Charlie on the new features thread, the GOTW Archive is now up and running. Hooray!

GOTW is a bit special this week, as it features me twice. There's more than rampant egoism at play here, as my overwhelming laziness should also be factored in.

Beevers v Prune - In what may be the greatest mismatch in Countdown history, Craig records the first perfect speed conundrum attack on only his fourth attempt. Ridiculous.

Davies v Gough - A really impressive speedgoat from two rising stars of Countdown. Between them they recorded a mouthwatering 26/29 maxes.

Bentley v Male - From legends future to legends past. Although we do hope they'll get another shot one day, purely to irritate Joseph Bolas. Several swings of the pendulum in this one, and an especially madcap finish.

Howe v Prime - And so we reach the point where I grow tired of researching other people's games. This one is pretty fine though, and I think it's first time hypergoatown has featured in GOTW, so into the hat it goes.

Reams v Howe - I've included this one at least partly to publicise the new joint high scores page. It features some nice spots, particularly from Charlie in rd 11, and 18/20 maxes between us, not too shabby at all for a speed game.

And there it is. I've just realised the Bentley Male encounter is from last week, but since there was no poll then and I'm too lazy to find another choice, it stays. You might not want to vote for it though.

Both of those first two are crackers, real shame they came up in the same week.

Only a few hours left to vote and it's a tie!!

I think if you bothered to vote in the sandwiches poll then it's obligatory that you vote in this one.

Lol at Craig's conundrum 13. I wonder how he spotted that...
