Doesn't seem like getting a perfect 9 rounder would be that hard, right?

Hmm.

Progress so far
18 Feb: 83/84
20 Feb: 74/75. Later: Job done.

Feel free to share your own tales of woe.

I was the first person on apterous to get a perfect 9 round game then 3 other people decided to follow suit. I'll try to be the latest one too in a minute.

Pfft.

That said, my 30s records are nowhere near my 10s ones. :?

After my earlier success, I almost followed it up with a perfect speed 9 in the very next game, but got screwed over by the numbers as usual...

Is this a reference to Tony Hawk's Project 8, ooi?

I'm pretty sure Tony Hawk was referring to this. But otherwise yeah.

Moved on to the speed 9 project now. Had several 8-max games.

I've been trying to get a perfect speed nine against Prune as well. I think I managed to max the first six rounds of a game, lost a point on the final letters, and scored nothing in the final two rounds!

And another - this time robbed by a numbers game I actually had but with a tricky split multiplication that I failed to reproduce. Fuck's sake.

I've started going for two large, because when the only large number's the 25, it's almost like a game of six small numbers. If you pick two large, there will always be at least the 50 or larger.

Ooh, am I allowed to take part. After 4 rather woeful efforts (who'd have thought taking a week off could affect your sharpness so much?), I managed this

Aided by wonderfully flat letter selections, ridiculously easy numbers and a straightforward conundrum:

tut tut, I see vowels Mr Gardner.

(Phil: the purpose of this post is to point out how Martin has put entire swear-words when he says he likes to not put in the vowels. I'm trying to point out how ridiculous I find this whilst also trying to be mildly amusing. I wait to see your verdict on this post and whether you think it has enough of a point to validify posting. Actually, I think MG only said this for the really bad words, which do not include "bollocks", "arse" or "crap" so if that is the case I apologise and I will remove this post is necessary.) ;)

After many many attempts and some painful near misses, I finally did it :)

I'm rushed off my feet today and haven't had much time to look into this, but it seems to working fine at the mo. Will investigate properly later.
