Supernundrums

At the recent MK event, those who were masochistic enough (most attendees!) joined a jamboree of lunchtime supernundrums.
A supernundrum is where you solve nine individual conundrums, then the first letter from those 9 answers create a new conundrum. The answer to the supernundrum (and the only one you have to give) is that final solve.
There were five supernundrums, in increasing difficulty, played as a "last man standing" - once you got one wrong, you were out. Players had a full minute to solve them. An impressive number of people solved the first two, the third thinned the field a lot, and after the fourth, there were just two players left - Jack Hurst and Ronan Higginson.
The last conundrum was on the buzzer - Jack buzzed first with the correct answer to become the first crowned king of the supernundrum! Well done Jack
If you fancy a go, you can find them below. I haven't added the timer, so feel free to be generous

How many can you get? Solutions are in the links.
Good luck!

Following on from MK, I decided to utilise this trend and wrote a few promotional ones over the weekend to help advertise CO:Sheffield next May. Shameless plug

Thanks for setting this up Fiona, I thought they were great fun, and I think we had plenty of people in the room who managed to solve at least one, so that was great to see.
I think they are not for everybody, but for Elite vs Elite games where it's a crucial, a Supernundrum is a much better climax than a standard Conundrum. Especially now that since the dictionary cull, there is such a scarce supply of properly challenging Conundrums.

Coming here to boast that you got minus two out of five is a bold move

I could do this with one arm tied behind my back. Congrats to Jack Hurst.

Do you normally solve conundrums with both arms?

What's nerdier than supernundrums? Supernundrums that work in two languages!
Going by the apterous dictionaries, there are 48 conundrum scrambles that have a valid English solution and a valid Welsh solution. The nine below form a supernundrum in both languages. Solutions in links below. Thanks to Fiona for the formatting.
English solution
Welsh solution

Love this, Stephen. I think I have the English answer but not sure on one of the 9 answers so I might have a letter wrong in my end answer, and even that took me probably at least 2 minutes to get.
No point me even attempting the Welsh.

We used a supernundrum for the CO:REA 2025 grand final!
T-Cap solved it in around 20 seconds
See how you get on
