Stacey: COSIEST (7)

Stacey: BOATED (6)
James: BOATER (6)
DC: DOUBTER (7) OUTDARE (7)

Round 6: 25, 9, 4, 1, 7, 6. Target: 584.

C1: -
C2: 584. 6 × 4 × 25 − (9 + 7) (10)

Stacey: snouting
James: OUTINGS (7)
DC: TONGUES (7) OUTSING (7) OUSTING (7)
OT: OUTENING (8)
Score: 26–43 (max 58)

Stacey: FACIAL (6)
James: FLAIR (5)
DC: RADICAL (7) CARFUL (6)
OT: RADICULA (8)
Score: 32–43 (max 66)

Round 9: 25, 50, 6, 5, 6, 7. Target: 932.

C1: -

RR: 932. (25 × 5 + (6 ÷ 6)) × 7 + 50 (10)
Score: 32–50 (max 76)

A good 1 away solve from our champion that allows him to extend his lead further..........but Ms Riley shows us how it is done.........using the omelette method...........this involves using all the numbers

Teatime teaser: THECRIBS -> BRITCHES

Round 10: Q A P S E T G A E

Stacey: STAGE (5)
James: AGATES (6)
DC: PESETA (6) AGAPEES (7)

Score: 39–56 (max 91)

Image

Image

Round 12: M A P Y U E D G I

Stacey: MAGPIE (6)
James: pygmied
DC: MEDIGAP (7)
Score: 45–56 (max 98)

A good 6 from our champion Stacey with Magpie reduces the arrears to 11 points.......one rather interesting that was psotted by DC with Medigap

Image

A very popular children's TV series Magpie that ran from 1968-1980 that was intended to compete with the rival BBC TV series Blue Peter which started in 1958 and still is going to this day........it has had different variations on it's siganture theme tune, the most notable is the 1979 version that was updated by English musician and multi-instrumentalist Mike Oldfield.

Image

Round 13: L O U P T E M S A

Stacey: outlaps
James: MALTOSE (7)
DC: SOULMATE (8)
OT: AMPOULES (8) OUTLEAPS (8) PETALOUS (8) PLASTOME (8)
Score: 45–63 (max 106)

A rather unfortunate risk from Stacey she will be kicking herself realising that she could of added an E for Outleaps that would of given her an 8......but adding insult to injury Outleaps was my spot.............there were a few 8s there.........no extra points if you spot them all ! but there is still everything to play for........Stacey needs a perfect 10 and force a crucial conundrum.......so let's see how the next round goes !

Image

Image

Round 14: 75, 9, 7, 8, 6, 10. Target: 575.

C1: -
C2: 575. (75 × 8) − (10 + 9 + 6) (10)
Score: 45–73 (max 116)

Sadly she misses this numbers game..........and for our Champion Stacey it is game over

Image

Round 15: M I N N I P I G G

No one buzzes. The answer was IMPINGING.
Final Score: 45–73 (max 126)

Neither contestant solves the conundrum but it is left to Ranvir Singh to solve it, we have a new champion in James, Stacey will be happy with her 1 win and the teapot, you can join me again for the next recap in the meantime it is bye for now !
