When Mr Murray told us on 29 Jan that it's National Colin Day, one of the first things I wondered is whether this has anything to do with the 'name days' celebrated in some religious traditions.
Of course, the other thing I noticed quite quickly is that it's at the time of year that COLIN is held. I see that it's thrice been actually on that date, in 2005, 2011 and 2022.
Was this the inspiration for having COLIN at the time of year, or is it pure coincidence?
I guess it's a good thing either way....

Pure coincidence. Though 2005 was the first one so technically 29 January is the proper anniversary.
