Says invalid in oxforddictionaries (listed as a mass noun).

That's the way I did it.

p.s. Susie got OUTDARES and said it's the only out- word she could find in that round. Surprised as I don't see her as the OUTDARES type (shes no Julia Bradbury). More like OUTREADS.

I feel people may benefit from a free version of Lexplorer to check words without paywalls. There was one in the past, but I think it stopped working, somehow.

I don't think DANCIER is valid either. I had ARANEID in that round, but DC got an 8 so it's moot anyway

Surely octanes is the falsey - COSTEAN is the word!

Agree. But Lexplorer works fine for me without subscription. You just need to sign in. Can't use advanced features like anagrams, but basic word-search works fine.
