Bohemian Rhapsody was written by the late Freddie Mercury it was originally released in 1975 spending a total 9 weeks at NO 1 making the Christmas NO 1 and of the best selling singles in the same year selling over 2M copies it is curretly the 3rd best selling single in the UK.
16 years later it was re-released as a AA side with These are the days of our Lives a month after the tragic and untimely death of Freddie Mercury it stayed at No 1 for 5 weeks in 1991 it was the only single to have a Christmas No1 twice, proceeds of the sales went to the Terrence Higgins trust, The Magic Johnson trust AND many other AIDS Charities.

Image

Bohemian Rhapsody that was released in 2018 that focuses on the life of Freddie Mercury from Queen forming in 1970 and the 1985 Live Aid performance at the old Wembley Stadium that knocked everybody out of the park, Rami Malek played the part of Freddie Mercury and bagged himself a best actor Oscar for his performance, it was the 6th highest grossing film of 2018 and became the highest grossing musical biopic of all time.

Fun fact Rami Malek is allergic to cats and had take antihistamines on set to combat his cat allergy.

And here is the cat daddy himself the late great Freddie Mercury, and my cat is called Freddie after the great man himself

A very honourable mention goes to.......The American comedy Waynes World in 1992 that was based on the Saturday Night Live sketch. Bohemian Rhapsody was used in the head banging scene in the film which is quite funny ! The song itself enjoyed renewed popularity in the US, thanks to the film Waynes World it became a critical and commercial success making it the 10th highest grossing film of 1992.
