Countdown Memorabilia
Found loads of old photos during a clear out today.
I'll upload some stuff over the coming days, the majority of which has never been seen before.

Really cool topic.
Bertha Bourne lived a decade after that picture, too - dying in February 2004, aged 97.

"Bertha appeared on Countdown ten years ago and cherished a photograph taken of her with Carol Vorderman, showing that she could still kick her foot above her head at the age of 87."
Would love to see that pic!

Got plenty more, but can't be arsed

I even found a reggae copy of the Countdown music played on steel drums.

Hope you or someone can digitise and upload these screen tests or are you saving them up for Countdowns 50th?

What we don't know is that's what Sky's show "Succession" is all about: who will succeed Eadie to become the next series producer of Countdown?

Thanks for sharing, these are really cool! I imagine there are several CD community members who would be willing and/or delighted to dig through and digitize some of this stuff...Dame Eadie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 05, 2023 9:33 pmGot plenty more, but can't be arsed
