Different ways of thinking and solving in 30 seconds, so some people incl. experts are going to miss more obvious words/methods. I had SIXTEENS in the SEPTINES round.

That's weird, because I did it exactly the same way - ((8*9-8)*2+3)*6=786.

Presumably you start by multiplying the two biggest numbers. 72. If you multiply that by 6*2 you have 864. 78 to find, which is 6*13, so you need to get 8*9*2-13 and multiply it by 6. You have an unused 8 and 3. 13 is 2*8-3. QED.
