So, it has been a very crazy series this time! Lots of new hosts taking the spot, and many new - and returning - faces taking finalist places too!

This is my first time doing something like this so go a little easy on me if something isn't exactly correct. BUT, here we go!

Badged Words:(7+ length maxes not previously submitted as a max by a contestant on Countdown before at time of broadcast): 10
Medalled Words (7+ length maxes not previously submitted as a max by a contestant or DC on CD before at time of broadcast): 3

Numbers Maxes: 28/32 (87.5%)
6S: 4/4 (100%)

3L: 3/4 (75%)
4L: 3/3 (100%)

Conundrum Maxes: 8/8 (100%)
8 Solved, 0 Lost, 0 Unsolved

Most consistent play I've seen! Broke record of highest score, never lost a single round in any heat game, and even pulled off a max game. It's gonna take a LOT of muscle to beat this guy!

3L: 0/1 (0%)
4L: 6/10 (60%)

Conundrum Maxes: 7/8 (87.5%)

A Series 71 returner after losing on a crucial conundrum in his 2nd game; this time he pulled out all the stops and made significant improvement! I think between him and Tom it's gonna be an absolute cage match here.

3L: N/A
4L: 1/1 (100%)

Conundrum Maxes: 5/8 (62.5%)
5 Solved, 1 Lost, 2 Unsolved

This one was a sure surprise to me, pulled out a lot of great words but seemed to be lacking in the numbers department a little. Think he'll do well against the #6 seed but to put up a good fight, I feel like the numbers need a little more improvement.

A Series 69 returner who also lost on a crucial as well a migraine. Luckily for him he came back with a healthy mind and a healthy #4 seed placement, which I think is gonna be great against our #5 seed.

Another surprise here as he managed to make it through 3 crucial conundrums and pull off impressive word skills. I think it's gonna be an absolute brawl in the QFs!

Another 3 crucial conundrum scraper by in the finals, and Daren's done pretty good for himself honestly. Think him against Quinn will definitely be a good watch, but let's hope he doesn't get TOO overpowered by letters.

Steven Etherington
Seed: 7
Wins: 7
Points: 645+*
Total Maxes: 53+/120 (44.17%+)

*His 6th game is currently unaired, so all the data of his currently aired games will be worked with keeping the unaired game in mind.

Letters Maxes: 30+/80 (37.5%+)
Badged Words: (7+ length maxes not previously submitted as a max by a contestant on Countdown before at time of broadcast): 3+
Medalled Words (7+ length maxes not previously submitted as a max by a contestant or DC on CD before at time of broadcast): 3+
Badged: BARTERS, SPURTED, UPROOTS, ...
Medalled: ALIGNERS, TOWARDS, RETOSSED, ...
Numbers Maxes: 18+/32 (56.25%+)
6S: 1/2 (50%)
1L: 16/23 (69.57%)
2L: 1/3 (33.33%)
3L: N/A
4L: N/A

The first of our unlucky bunch who didn't get a chance to make octochampdom, but still managed to book himself a spot in the finals. Solid play as always but it's gonna take a lot of muscle to put up against Ed.

Lewis Castling-Morey

Total Maxes: 21/120 (17.5%)

Letters Maxes: 9/80 (11.25%)
Badged Words:(7+ length maxes not previously submitted as a max by a contestant on Countdown before at time of broadcast): 0
Medalled Words (7+ length maxes not previously submitted as a max by a contestant or DC on CD before at time of broadcast): 3
Badged:
Medalled: WHEREAS, SILLIEST, TAUNTING
Numbers Maxes: 10/32 (31.25%)
6S: N/A
1L: 1/4 (25%)
2L: 3/9 (33.33%)
3L: 5/16 (31.25%)
4L: 1/3 (33.33%)

Conundrum Maxes: 6/8 (75%)
6 Solved, 2 Lost, 0 Unsolved

And our #8 seed, who's faced is what I think to be the most crucial conundrums I've ever seen someone face. He enjoys his math picks, but it's gonna take a lot of practice in both departments to get up to the levels we've seen in this group of finalists!

And that's our lot! I will say a big congrats to the people who've gotten up very close to being in the finals too, especially John Aziz who I've been really rooting for honestly. Unfortunately with 5 wins and 617 points to his name, he JUST gets pipped to the post. Can't wait to see the finals.
