Hello countdowners and welcome to another recap, today is a special day when we see an another octochamp of this series being crowned. Tom Stevenson an apterite and a very popular member of the Countdown community, I feel very proud and privileged to recap this game.....however before Tom can join the super elite he has one final hurdle to overcome......can Ben spoil the party ???

A huge congratulations to Tom on becoming an octochamp and no 1 seed ,he is now a member of the 1000 club making him the 4th highest scoring octochamp giving him a total of 1000 points averaging out at 125 points a game, Tom also becomes the 13th person in the shows history to solve all 8 of his conundrums in a preliminary game, take nothing from Ben who was nervous and couldn't get going but had some good spots.........Tomorrows show will feature two new contestants......in the meantime bye for now !!
