Being the late-adopter that I am, I've only now got round to registering with c4countdown. But now I have, I've got news of a potential event this summer.
A friend of mine, Ben Whitehouse, is organising events for an arts festival called Greenbelt, which takes place in Cheltenham on August Bank Holiday weekend every year. One of the organisations involved in Greenbelt is Christian Aid, and they are looking to do some sort of event to promote their Countdown to Copenhagen:

Ben and other organisers had the idea of maybe staging a special “edition” of Countdown, complete with contestants who could maybe also do a talk on the Countdown experience. I've spoken to Damian and he's cool with the idea.
