Another stunning performance from Matt and a 7th century.......will he join the super elite and become an octochamp..........??????? He will need 120+ to storm into the no 1 seed position.............. Dan Byrom will be watching anxiously and waiting with baited breath.........A good performance from James he could not match the prowess of Matt who was in sparkling form today.

Tune into Countdown tomorrow to see if Matt can do it !!! I have every confidence in him !!!

I think the target was 953 in round 14. James didn't score.

Alright, let's put some more stats on here.

Matt now averages about 120.71 per game, very close to Dan's average of 123.29 in seven games. In order to snag the number one seed from Dan, Matt needs exactly 122 points or more since he has now comfortably solved more conundrums than him - 6 to 4 I believe. He now has an 87.93% of points over max, a 1.52% increase from before.

In my opinion, given these stats, I think Matt will comfortably take the number one seed as long as he doesn't get a game like the one he had with Paul Merison. With Matt's average rounded to the nearest whole number too, we might just have ourselves a VERY close match with Matt on 966. But of course, let's save that for tomorrow. ;)
