Hello Countdowners everywhere and welcome to another recap, our champion Matt is going rather well and by my reckoning he could be an octochamp by next week, so sit back and enjoy the show !

C1: Champion Matt O'Connor (2 wins, 243 points) Matt is a serving detective with Cheshire Constabulary and formerly of Greater Manchester Police, and an apterite, he originally took a job in IT after completing his degree in Computers at Manchester Metropolitan University , but found the job boring. Until some of his friends from university who were joining the police force they encouraged Matt to do so,15 years later he is still in the police currently serving as a Detective Constable.

Matt buzzes on 1.5 seconds to say RENDERING which is correct.

Another great win from Matt, but take nothing away from Tom who didn't score in any the of letters rounds. He will be happy with his goody bag and 20 points in the numbers round..........if Matt can keep up this consistency all week........... Dan Byrom the current no 1 seed will be watching the leader board anxiously.....as Matt continues his brilliant run.
