R2: APHELIA

Premium gives pimelea in bold and with an initial lower-case p in the definition. Lexico lists ‘pimelea’ with a small p too, but not in bold.

Dan Byrom’s score of 140 is the highest ever debut score in Countdown history, breaking the record previously set by Luke Johnson-Davies by 1 point. Congratulations, Dan.

Stu Harkness achieved his first victory with 148 points in 2021, but his debut was actually in 2007 (in which he lost) – so Stu still retains the record for the highest score as a challenger against a daily champion.

13 maxes on the début game as well :!: :!: Paging Graeme: Would that be a record?
I'm not dead yet. In a rut right now because of stress from work. I'll be back later in S89. I also plan to bring back the Mastergram - if I can find a way to run a timer or clock through pure MediaWiki without having to upload to Vimeo every time.

Dylan Taylor scored a debut 120 out of a max 121, so that can only be 14 maxes.

As long as he didn't get any non-max "maxes" in the numbers (e.g. 2 away when 1 away was possible), but looking at the game, it seems that he got them all spot on.

I believe a non-max "max" is still a max, at least based on the calculation on Apterous though.

I think it is counted as a max on Apterous but Apterous is, you know, wrong.

Apparently he only got home from school around 4, so it must have been around 4:30....

Back then, that's when Countdown was on, so I doubt it.
