What do you wear in bed

Can't believe this hadn't been tackled on here before.
But Gevin inspired me to do this.
I wear my fitbit and pyjama shorts.
Just to wind up Gevin, please state if you wear your watch/fitness device in bed

Since no one should have to suffer seeing me naked even when asleep under a duvet (pronounced joo-vay), it's whatever t-shirt I had on the day before, then shorts over boxers. If I'm feeling especially devil-may-care, I might go for socks, but they always get kicked off during the night.

On top I wear a T-shirt and a sweatshirt over it, but the sweatshirt goes when it's hot. And I wear trousers that are sweatshirt material so like tracksuit trousers. Also socks at this time of year.

No watch.

Do you sleep in an igloo? :?

(Thin pyjama bottoms and a short-sleeved vest for me, btw)

Being me, I don't really have a specific rule set I follow but here's what usually happens. Generally some sort of pyjamas or dressing gown, usually having put this on long before I went to bed (whatever I'm wearing in most zoomdown episodes will usually end up being the sleep clothes if they look sufficiently comfy). Generally only do normal outside clothes/nothing if I'm really tired or drunk or whatever. Just boxers iff I'm not alone in the bed generally

We don't have the heating on at night and it can get quite cold.

Socks in bed lads? That's anathema for me. That's the definition of being overdressed for bed.

Bed socks are literally a thing

What tog are your duvets? I'd rather add blankets than clothes if I'm cold in bed. Couldn't sleep comfortable in clothes. I'm with Paul, socks are a definite no no.

Yeah I get it historically when houses were cold, and we tend to leave the heating off in our room, so it's about 16-18 degrees, but a warm duvet is sufficient along with 100% cotton cover and undersheet. I am quite exothermal though says Viv, but my feet would feel restricted with socks on

I prefer having clothes on to sleep generally. So I prefer it to be cold so I can wear more. It's disappointing when it warms up and the socks have to go.

Aye, at this time of year, the bedroom's probably no more than 18C, but on a mild night, the winter quilt is often too much. Summer quilt goes on probably April to November. I've no problem sleeping in clothes (winter camping can be fun), but it's just restrictive and usually too hot in bed. Medical science is with me on this.

Yep definitely like the bedroom as cold as possible. Tend to overheat anyway - love my weighted blanket, you get the coziness without the excessive warmth.

Yeah footballers sleep at 16-18 degrees. My strategy is to be warm getting into a cold bed. I agree with the weighted blanket. It's a top tip for getting young kids to sleep through the night too

Weighted blanket?
Didnt know that was a thing but as our dog sleeps on the bed, maybe a weighted blanked might have merit.

I also have a window open all year round.
I often use a rain app to get me off to sleep.

I consider bedsocks as bad as Gevin considers watch wearing in bed

Also curious if pet lovers on here allow their pets on or even in the bed.
I couldn't leave my dog in a crate even though they do work for some dogs.
Maybe this should be in a seperated thread

Don't worry - I don't wear bedsocks. I wear whatever socks I was wearing during the day.

Surely it doesn't have to be one extreme or another - your bed or an old milk crate.

I didnt even know dogs were kept in crates until I got my current dog. I understand its to give them a safe space I don't agree with them unless you have multiple dogs.

If you are wearing your socks in bed then they have become bed socks 😊

Two of the dogs sometimes get on the bed, but rarely sleep there.
