Sad to learn the news that Alan Hawkshaw passed away today. He was 84.

Born in Leeds, he composed the music for Grange Hill, Channel 4 News and, of course, Countdown.

Thank you for the music, Alan. RIP

I think it was only the first season of Give Us a Clue that used it
