New Chairperson for Focal Countdown

After three and a half years, Jeff Clayton will step down as chair of Focal on 30 June. Callum Todd will take over the reins from 1 July.
Jeff organised his first tournament in Leicester in 2008 and spent several years establishing new partnerships with venues and other Countdowners, to help develop a broader national circuit. Jeff has been chair of Focal since the beginning of 2018.
Whilst in-person events have had to be suspended for the last year, Callum has worked hard to reshape Focal's online presence, not just as a producer of the "Focal Talk" podcast, but also overseeing competitive games on "Zoomdown" which is now approaching the end of its third series since spring 2020.
Jeff will continue to support Focal as an events organiser and a participant, and will work with Callum to ensure a smooth handover.
Jeff would like to place on record his thanks to Chris Marshall, who will continue in post as treasurer, for his unbiased and straightforward approach to keeping revenues and costs in check, and also preparing Focal's accounts every year.
