Jon Corby pulled off the upset of the year by beating the enigmatic David O'Donnell. I don't mean it was an upset as in a surprise, I just mean it really upset David O'Donnell ... meaning me. I have to hand it to Corby ... he was brilliant on the numbers which enabled to have a 20 point lead going into the conundrum ... which he also got: what a git! I hope young Travers tears him a new one, let's see what did indeed transpire ....

Conor wins the day with a paltry two seconds to spare, it didn't look like it would go down to the wire with Jon's criminal (well not so criminal) missing of SUPINATES. This is the best game I have viewed, recapped and hosted since being a Countdown fan. Okay, there were misses but they were few and far between and whatever crevices emerged were packed full of drama. (That's enough waxing lyrical - the Ed.) Yeah verily the Countdown Gods gazed upon this spectacle and were themselves awed .... (You're fired-the Ed.) ...bugger!
