The COLIN Google Earth quiz

Cerebral distractions of every kind, mostly but not exclusively Countdown-related.

The COLIN Google Earth quiz

Post by Ben Wilson »

Evening all. For my second attempt at a quiz no one will attempt, here's a Google Earth based one. The goal is to get from the shop named Countdown (no really) to the COLIN venue, identifying all 25 stops along the way. There are no ridiculous detours or doubling back on yourself, you should be able to do the whole thing in one continuous go, and the stops are all in order. The clues should be self-explanatory as to what type of establishment you're looking for, and what it's named. Good luck. :-)

Start here- https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.23899 ... 312!8i6656

1. A place to eat, or drink coffee with a Cylon?

2. A place to drink, or a farmhand (or something that should surely be illegal)?

3. A place to drink, or only accepts those in the bottom half of the table?

4. A place to cook & eat, or a home for dancing shoes?

5. A place to drink, or anatomy for illiterate people?

6. A place to stay, or a place to leave for Spurs?

7. A place to drink, or freedom for all?

8. A place for crockery, or altered mental states?

9. A place for collectables, or gold-coloured fags?

10. A place to drink, or vermin and vegetables?

11. A place now closed, or Razor's place?

12. A place for treats, or Jamie-Lee's place? (this one will have multiple acceptable answers)

13. A place to eat, or a stoned span?

14. A place to drink, or a financial agreement?

15. A place to drink, or get weighed down?

16. A place to play, or play really tall?

17. A place to drink, or a shiny yellow X?

18. A place to shop, or Blair's paradise?

19. A place to read, or cross the gap?

20. A place to eat, or Thatcher's pun?

21. A place to drink, or a place to farm?

22. A place to learn, or headbutt a tree?

23. A place to shop, or talk in Latin?

24. A place to eat, or a shiny green lawn?

25. A place to learn, or Cedric Diggory's school?

And end here-

This could also double as a pub crawl for COLIN XVII.
