Series 80 - Female Winners

Any idea what the highest percentage of wins my female contestants in a series is? Could this series take be it?

Would need a Graeme to answer fully, but it's definitely looking good compared to recent years. You have to go back to series 71 to find the last series with more than 1 female finalist, leaving very little time for the others to fit in a high percentage. Series 80 has already managed that, Sandra's got a very good chance of holding onto a third, and there's several others on a handful of wins, even with 20 episodes to go.

It's nice to see a gender balance but I don't think we should get too hung up on it. The best way for more women to do well is to have more women apply to be on - and hopefully the fact that this series has had female success will encourage girls and women to apply.
