Very nice debut. Looking towards 1000 now!
I felt a bit sorry for Arran actually. He played well over the last couple of days, but I think Elliott got to him a bit and he didn't score in a single letters round!

He could have easily scored on some of the letters if he'd taken fewer risks. Great numbers work from him.

It's always good to see a talented young player come along, especially one who's good with numbers, and plays in a friendly, relaxed manner with a smile on his face. Such a shame that he had to play Elliot....
When you think of some of the people who have won half a dozen or more games, even got through to the finals, you've got to feel sorry for Arran running into someone brilliant so quickly. I reckon he'd be able to give the lower seeds in most of the series a very good game. Hopefully he'll get another go in a few years. Loved the momentary look of doubt on Elliot's face when Arran said 9!
Anyway, brilliant debut from EM - look forward to seeing the rest of the run, however long it lasts.

Thanks Keith! I do feel bad I must admit - he was a talented player and really deserved more. Still, I had a chat with him afterwards and he was taking it very well - he was really just happy to have his teapot.
