Why don’t you like Brinsworth Zarte
It's too close to Rotherham, which brings back bad memories for me.

I think it's a bit hurtful to my feelings to ask me something so trivial immediately afterwards. But as I'm a kind-hearted person I'll answer.
I like 4 large, as it gives me the least chance to see a 3 or a 7 somewhere on the board. I can just about tolerate the 7 before the 5 in 75, as I quite like the number 5. I don't like 3s and 7s. I won't even order 3, 7, 37 or 73 off a Chinese takeaway menu. Which is problematic as number 37 is my favourite at my local one

Hi Guys
This will now be an online event held over a few weeks starting later this month.
It will be held here on c4countdown
1st off player 1 will text how many vowels and consonants they would like and I will reply to both contestants with them vowels and consonants the same with round 2 etc. I will then start a 30 second time which when Tim is up I will text ‘Answers Please’ In which you will both send your answers. The same applies for the numbers.

Ashton, there are a lot of events already, both online and in person. Take part in some of those, familiarise yourself with what they involve and how they work, ask those who organise them how they do it for advice and help (they're very helpful), and then maybe revisit this idea.

Games to be played: At least 12, plus a separate Grand Final for the top 2.
What, 12 games in total? Normally people are more interested in how many games each person will play. COLON doesn't advertise itself as "198 games plus the final", because that number depends on how many people show up. Usually it's "everyone plays 6 games".
Ashton Hancock wrote: ↑Sun Jun 16, 2019 10:16 am
Presented by Ashton Hancock, using Lincoln Style with players drawn into groups of 3 (we hope for 12 or more players. This event is suitable for people any age with any ability. Everyone plays 3 15-Rounders before the top 2 play the 20 round final.
If you're splitting everyone into groups of three and doing it Lincoln-style, how does everyone play three games? In each round of Lincoln-style, everyone plays two games (one against each of the other people on their table) and hosts one (between the two other people on their table).
The best advice I can give has already been given to you by Mark:

Even people who have organised events before and/or have been attending events for years often find them difficult and stressful to put together. There's a lot of work involved which the players never normally see. I wouldn't recommend trying to host a co-event until you've at least attended some to get a first-hand idea of how they work.

Yesterday Ashton was publicly claiming that his event was a FOCAL event, and in PM to me he insisted Jeff had approved it. It didn't take much effort to find out that this was a lie.
You can imagine how surprised I am at this latest development.

Ashton, you should probably know that quite a lot of us know each other outside of this forum and the show. We actually hang out in real life and stuff. So it's probably not a good idea to lie about things people have supposedly agreed to do, because we'll know. I mean it's a bad idea to lie in general, but it's a really bad idea to lie about things that are so easily disproved.
