Very strong game by Bob today -- he took me to a crucial and I think he may have octochamp potential. Alex was also an above-average challenger IMO.
No beaters today (edit: except for PARENGOS in the PERSONA round!), but APORIAS as a nice alt to PARIAHS.
2nd Numbers Alt.: 50 * 9 - 25 - 75 - 2 * 10

Think Bob is the best bet we've seen for octochampdom so far I think. He has a good wordbank for a non-apterite and his numbers are solid enough. Nevertheless, despite the difference in maxes, Alex put up a good fight and left with a decent losing score. Though , Bob's mannerisms make him remind me of Mr Burns from the Simpsons, may be just me, but, as I stated, he has a good chance at making the finals.

I can say 100% he won't become an octochamp.

Think my point has been slightly misunderstood- was stating that Bob is the best candidate I have seen so far based on ability to become an O-champ this series. Of course, getting to 8 shows put Lewis as having the best statistical chance of winning 8, but ability wise, he was not on a par with some octochamps.

I think Bob had actually improved since his first game, and his numbers are better than I first thought. So yes, he could be an octochamp. I didn't actually think Lewis was really octo potential, but anyone who can win one game could potentially win eight, by just stringing them together and not getting any tough opponents.
