I myself had ADOPTERS in the TETRAPODS round, so was quite pissed off when DC said 9

In the DATELINES round though, I was waiting for an 'O' to come out for DELATIONS

orgiast, ruliness and toybox are all invalid I think.

I think you can have OVERRAN too as an equaller.

You remembered! Just working on them now - all done, except the 794 target is trickier with the other rounds number selections...

Another soln. for 2nd numbers game:

(75 - 7 - 5) * (8 + 7) = 63 x 15 = 945.

I also got overran,but when DC didn,t mention it I thought it must be spelled with one R.
Don,t know what Carol was up to with the numbers.On one of the rounds she only picked up five numbers,and on another I thought she was trying to juggle with them. One fell off the board and she dropped another.But it,s things like that that make the show what it is.No editing it out and Carol found it funny.

Got both 9s today. All this apterous is really paying off now.

Carol has seemed really giggly and playful on this week's shows. Yesterday she was audibly disappointed when FARTING narrowly failed to come up in the selection.

Yeah I only had PROSTATE too so was quite annoyed to miss a high probability nine. Need to cement that in. DATELINES/DENTALISE was a given though. I tried TOYBOX^ too and I didn't get the conundrum but thanks to the 9 I got 110 points, but a low %age max score of 79%.

Is it only 5 more Countdown days till the QFs screen? Howard will know more or indeed the people in the QFs will know.

First quarter final is 4 December so yes, 5 more episodes to go. I believe it's now safe to mention that I'm guaranteed #1 seed, so 4 December will be featuring me, but I won't say any more than that.

Players used to be given the choice of playing in the current finals or finishing their run next series, but I believe the latter is now obligatory. This is probably a good thing because the first final is usually filmed just after the last normal episode of the series and knocking someone off the seedings at that stage seems a bit mean.

I got DENTALISE but missed TETRAPODS (with PROSTATE ). My mum was over the moon with TOYBOX, until I looked it up and found it wasn't a word.
