Jimmy Buffett. I had previously thought he died sometime in the '00s or '10s to be honest.

Most Brits won't know who he is. I can only name two songs: Margaritaville and 5 O'clock Somewhere.

I thought so too, but then I saw a photograph of him with Richard O'Sullivan. They were both in the same retirement home for ex-actors.

Mike Yarwood was a huge star in the 1970s. His 1977 Christmas day special holds the record for the biggest audience for a light entertainment programme.

RIP Siry Bobby Charlton, the best footballer England ever had.
Survived the Munich air crash and went on to win three titles an fa Cup and a European Cup along with, of course helping England win the World Cup.
I will fact check but he scored 48 goals for England which was only beaten by Rooney and Kane (less penalties than them too)

I don't remember the 1966 World Cup Final, but I remember watching the entire match some 30 years on and being struck by the way the West Germans approached the game. Beckenbaeur, along with his teammates, had been instructed to ensure Charlton couldn't get time on the ball. They largely succeeded, but at the cost of opening up the space for Geoff Hurst to flourish.

RIP Sir Bobby Charlton

Also in 1970 Ramsay bringing Charlton off for a rest in the quarter final against Germany was the main reason we lost from 2-0 up

I guess she wasn't quite as good at it as her husband, who has been taking it in his stride since February.
