No spoilers by the time the game ended today!

All I managed today was SHEERING for an equaller in round 9, and an abortive attempt at ZITTIER in round 1.

Yes I wondered if zittier would be ok.I thought the conundrum was lovingley,
but I don,t think the E should be in there.
I thought Carol made a meal of the second numbers game. The contestant
had made 15 by adding 3+4+8.She only had to say if you had added the 1 to
the fifty before you multiplyed by 15 it would have given you the correct
answer.

I thought COWPEAS in round 6 was quite nice but my other equallers were quite bog standard. Good spot DC with FREELOAD today.

It was the first numbers game, but I agree.

SHEERING ain't a word, I'm afraid.

dictionary.com lists it as a word, though it sources the American Heritage Dictionary, whose words are frequently disallowed on Apterous.

Why not? SHEER can be a verb (as in to sheer off from an intended course), so SHEERING should be allowed.

Also, it's listed as an equaller in today's recap.

Dunno what dictionary you're using, Kai, but it's definitely valid. It's specified in the ODE2r and which better dictionary to look up the word in than that one!
